With over 11 years experience in the mental health field, I have worked in both NHS and non-NHS services, supporting diverse individuals across the spectrum of mild to severe problems. I am therefore skilled in the assessment and treatment of common and complex psychological difficulties, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and complex PTSD, complex trauma, personality disorders, dissociation, anxiety, depression, disordered eating, substance misuse, obsessive compulsive difficulties, and physical/psychosexual issues. I have also supported individuals with accompanied challenges such as relationship difficulties, high levels of self-criticism, complex emotions of shame and guilt, grief and bereavement, identity conflicts, and low self-esteem.

For the last 5 years I have been building a clinical speciality in trauma and have expertise in supporting survivors of single or multiple traumatic/adverse life experiences. I have worked in specialist services, including complex PTSD and substance misuse, and now split my work between private practice and as a senior psychologist in a specialist psychotherapy NHS service for people struggling with complex PTSD/trauma and complex emotional needs stemming from developmental trauma. I have worked with many kinds of traumatic experiences, including varying severities of childhood abuse/neglect, domestic abuse, interpersonal violence, accidents, birth trauma, racial trauma, military and police trauma, and asylum seekers and refugees. Through trauma focussed therapy, I hope to help survivors make sense of their traumas, heal the impact of their experiences, and move towards growth from trauma.

Private practice offers me the opportunity to focus more on my areas of interest and expertise. My skills lie in working with those who have been impacted by trauma and struggling with relationships, and most importantly, making sense of personal experiences and the impact those continue to have on them today.
